Magic Behind New York Fashion Week

New York Fashion Week would have been a dull place without young starlets and several designers and collections in particular. Fringing, beading, embroidery, puff-sleeved floral, a twinkling lame, with embellished neckline patchwork, draping, ribbons, bows, metallic threads - no detail is left out, and that is the glorious fusion of this great event. The clothes are beautifully made, and curiously designed.

This year, the collection is the essence of young. The models radiate a sassy, rock-chick charm in a layered mix of color and print with cut smock dresses over frilly skirts, curvy dresses in floral velvet, handkerchief-hems on trapeze-line smocks, crystal-encrusted tunics with baggy trousers tucked into boots, long, bedecked with lace bibs, and necklaces, embossed and cut-out leather jackets with washed georgette dresses, all styled, layered and accessorized with madcap, magpie charm and enthusiasm.

In fashion, there is no tomorrow. You have to make it perfect in that few minutes. That's the biggest and rewarding challenge. Backstage before the event there are celebrities, singers and television personalities queued for make-up, hairdressing and wardrobe. There is a fight going on behind the scenes of Fashion Week. However, you can shake your booty to the top DJ's rocking music or watch spectacular performances. And thats not all; you are escorted with beautiful girls, who are happy to engage in conversation with you. Attending a New York Fashion week means you are enjoying the exciting entertainment, gourmet buffets, mingling with dazzling super hot models, and famous personalities. However, it is quite possible there will be a land grab for seats.

Though the runways are not open to the public, there are ways to check out the catwalks. Fashion Week's become more accessible than ever, as VIP CONCIERGE is providing you with anything and everything. Some thousands of people will stream in and out in a frantic attempt of fetching the VIP tickets to this grand show. You can conveniently buy tickets to New York Fashion Week or any other popular event. So you could be sitting next to Andr Leon Talley, Diane von Furstenberg, or Anna Wintour your favorite celebrities. This is an honor; you have got to see your favorite celebrities. The show features numerous celebrity guests, hot models, and exciting acts.

New York Fashion Week is just around the corner. Imagine watching out your hottest celebrities, hot models, and right inside the fashion week. Models are in full force this night, so keep yourself ready as the time becomes more like a joint venture between the fashion and nightlife worlds of New York each year.

That's not to say everyone wasn't trying at least to avoid taking home the 'Shirts of Shame' - yellow for the player with the worst score and red for his female counterpart. Sadly Sham (14 stableford points) and Miss Whiplash (15) now have to wear exhibit this dubious honour at any forum event until the Olympic year.

However, it seemed, that almost everyone wanted to pick up the baton of mediocrity and I feared with my new 'dangerous' handicap of 12, I was going to have harness my competitive urges to prevent an embarrassing repetition of 2009.

Having gone against the spirit of the competition as a guest invitee and won this event with 40 points a couple of years ago, I have since learned not to take the day too seriously and to avoid possible embarrassment. So I determined to knobble my opening drive through a bush into an unplayable lie leaving the way clear, I thought, for others!

So my fellow Yorkshireman - appropriately nicknamed Yorkie - proved a worthy winner on 38 points though he'd do well not to repeat the feat if he wants to avoid the ribbing that inevitably comes with the best score on the day. His consolation, however, like me, comes with being part of the North team that beat The South by a solitary point - far more important!
